Orlando, Florida—The Florida Citrus Bowl played host to the 25th anniversary of The Charity Challenge on Saturday, May 22 and the AAA Team looked pretty darn sporty.
Charity Challenge is a massive fundraising event founded in 1987 by Florida State Senator Lee Constantine, and includes a variety of hotels and hospitality industry companies competing in co-ed sporting events such as basketball hotshots, volleyball, obstacle course, water-tubing relay, canoe relay, and Tug-of-War. Prior to this year’s event, Charity Challenge had raised over $4 million for Central Florida charities.
AAA Parking’s chosen charity was Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. “A crucial part of AAA Parking’s culture is to give back and support the communities in which we operate. We take great pride in being the only Parking Company that participated in this wonderful event,” said Vice President, Bryan DeCort.
Seventeen Orlando-based AAA Parking staff members participated in Charity Challenge. Official financial results from the 2010 event will be announced in late July.
