Eric Howell NAMED AAA PARKING'S MANAGER OF THE Year

Atlanta — AAA Parking has named veteran parking manager, Eric Howell, as the company’s Manager of the Year for 2012.

"If you think you can do something, you can.  If you think you can't, you're right!"  These are words to live by, according to AAA Parking's Manager of the Year for 2011, Eric Howell, and likely, the philosophy driving his success.

Mr. Howell joined AAA Parking in June, 2005, after spending 20 years working in the insurance industry.  Looking for change and something more exciting, Howell accepted a position as operations manager for AAA Parking's One Georgia Center operation in downtown Atlanta.  Since then, he's led several other opertions for the company, including the Georgia State Bar and 999 Peachtree parking operations.  But, it's Eric's current parking operation at Egleston Children's Hospital/Children's Healthcare of Atlanta that provides him the greatest joy in the daily grind.

"I enjoy working with people in general. But, at Egleston, you meet and interact with doctors, nurses, parents, grandparents, and of course, the kids.  The kids truly inspire me every day and make everthing I do here worthwhile," said Howell.  Childrens Healthcare at Egleston is widely known as one of the world's most advanced pediatric hospitals, and is the pediatric physician teaching site for Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine.   "I enjoy making people feel special.  My dad taught me and my brothers to always have good things to say to people," added Howell.

In in personal life, Eric is married, has 2 grown children, and loves to coach youth sports and mentor young people. But, he's still got a big goal in mind, "when I grow up I would love to own a live jazz club."

Mr. Howell was elected AAA Parking's Manager of the Quarter for the 4th quarter of 2011.  The company honors one of the yearly quarterly managers as the Manager of the Year.
